Woodland Beavers

Beavers is the first stage of scouting and we aim to make it fun!

We meet on Wednesday evenings at North Leigh primary school from 6.15pm until 7.15pm.Our group is open to both boys and girls aged between 6 and 8.

Lots of activities designed to get everyone involved

Our programme is innovative and diverse one week we may be focusing on arts and crafts the next we may be having a visit form a local police officer, going on a hike or even cooking marshmallows on a campfire. Our ambition is to get young people involved in many different activities as we can; we will try and have a trip to an out of bounds centre like Youlbury annually, where the Beavers will be able to have a go at activities like abseiling, zip wiring and archery.

Our programme allows us to work towards badge and we try to ensure that everyone will leave beavers with their Bronze award. They earn their bronze award by completing all 6 challenge badges and 4 activity badges. They will then be able to take their bronze award badge on to Cubs with them and sew it on to their new uniform.
